Utah's Teen Refugee Education and Tutor Program
As second-generation immigrants, teen refugees are exposed to unequal representation in their everyday lives. UTREAT believes that education shouldn't become a barrier to success, but instead an apparatus to achieve success. By interacting with teen refugees across Utah, UTREAT seeks to lessen these disparities so that every teen has equal opportunities to education.

By teens for teens: Our treating goals
The UTREAT organization is by teens for teens. UTREAT treats teen refugees in the community and seeks to break down the barriers to equal education. We work to give refugee teens the resources and support they need to succeed. No matter where someone is from, they deserve equitable access to education. Each and every one of us can impact our communities positively. We can give our time and attention to those who need it most. We can each treat others.
"A refugee is someone who survived and who can create the future."
-Amela Koluder
There are over 60,000 refugees in Utah.
Every teen refugee deserves the same treat.
